Travis Anderson dreamed of a place he and his daughter, Davis, could call home for good. Upon moving into his Habitat house, that dream came to life.
“We were both excited, happy, and thankful for our new chapter given to us,” he said.
Moving into that home has given he and Davis more stability and security than they ever could have had before, as the future always holds a certain degree of uncertainty for renters. Now, they know their house won’t be sold out from under them; they are empowered to make decisions about their own future.
They wouldn’t have this stability without Habitat and the village it takes to build a Habitat home, he said. He is so grateful for the volunteers and staff that donated their time to make his dream come true.
“Davis and I would like to thank the Habitat family for their help to make our home a reality,” he said. “We wouldn’t have been able to have our own home without you.”
